Time for Resolutions?
We’re six days into the new year, which means that most people are still sticking to their guns on their resolutions. Me? I have some personal goals and resolutions that I hope to start this weekend. Now, some of you may ask why I’m just starting those resolutions. I guess you could say it’s a bit of an obsession with me, when I start. Sundays are my days to begin. Last Sunday was still December and Monday was a holiday. I can’t start on those days. So, this Sunday will be the first day of attempting to be a better person in 2018.

What Will 2018 Bring?
It has been a while since I have written anything here, or done much of anything outside of my home. Maybe you are wondering where I have been, maybe you haven't. But I feel like I at least owe an explanation to the good people who have taken the time over the past few months to read what I write. My intentions for 2018 are ambitious. However, what my body will actually allow me to do is another question.

The Death of 2016 . . . or is it?
Many of us cannot wait for the violent and painful death of the year known as 2016. For some of us, this year will remain permanently etched in our psyche for one reason or another. For the world, this was the year that fate took our musical innovators and left us with a clown ready to assume the most important political office in the world. This was not a good year.

I Wish It was Christmas Today
The domain of Christmas and the holidays, at least with regard to those of us at Niagara's Watercooler, belongs to George Root and Howie Balaban. They live for the holiday season, especially George. Me? Not so much. I far prefer Independence Day as my holiday of choice over Christmas. Think about it. It's warm, sunny, and easy to hang outside with some beers and friends. December in Western New York is cold.
