Niagara County Genealogical Society To Present Program January 26th

The Niagara County Genealogical Society will present a program on January 26th to help aspiring genealogists get started with their family history projects.

This presentation is for all people who have said to themselves at one time or another that they wish they knew more about who their family was, but have not started the journey (or are just starting). We can help you find those people, help you record the information in an organized way and share tips & strategies for using local and online resources to get you started!

We want to stress you do NOT have to spend money on subscriptions to sites to get this information, or spend money for software. There are thousands of FREE resources and that is what we will concentrate on.

Come join us at the Lockport Public Library, Lockport, NY on Saturday, January 26th at 1 pm in their Community Room on the lower level. Park in the rear of the library off Chestnut St in Lockport NY.

This free program is sponsored by the Niagara County Genealogical Society and Board Chair, Shelley Richards will be the presenter. Shelley has 20 years of experience researching her family and many other family's history in the Western NY community. She is also author of two books about St. Patrick's Cemetery in Lockport, NY.
