The Niagara Falls PowerHawks dropped a pair of games to the Jersey Shore Wildcats over the last weekend. With one win and three losses, the Hawks sit in third place in the Northeast Division. The team heads to New Jersey for two games against the Skylands Kings on Saturday and Sunday. Niagara Falls next has a home game on October 1st, against the Roc City Royals.
The Skylands Kings opened their season last weekend with two losses to the visiting Binghamton Junior Senators. Still rolling high after advancing to the championship game at the end of the season, the Junior Senators are still showing that playoff caliber of hockey. They won the first contest 10-2, and the second, 9-3. Both the Kings and the PowerHawks hope to turn things around with this weekend’s games.
