Let's Eat! - Cammarata's Restaurant

Cammarata's Restaurant is one of those places that many people in Lockport have gone to on a regular basis, but it still remains one of Lockport's best kept secrets. I think one of the reasons more people don't go to Cammarata's is because it looks like an expensive place to eat. If you do not give Cammarata's a try at least once, then you are denying yourself a dining experience that is truly unique to Lockport.

I'm going to be honest with you and tell you that this is not the place you go to when you are trying to decide whether or not Applebee's is your dining choice for the evening. Cammarata's has been around since 1975 for one very good reason; you absolutely get what you pay for at this place. The portions are excellent, the menu is diverse, and the quality of the food is unrivaled throughout most of the city. If you are wondering where in Lockport to go to get a great steak, then you want to go to Cammarata's.

One of the things I love about Cammarata's is that you feel like you are walking back into the 1970s when you walk through their door. The ambiance of Cammarata's takes the very best things from the 1970s and wraps it right around you in a way that you have to experience for yourself. There is very little sunlight that gets into the room, which I think only enhances the incredible sense of nostalgia you get when you walk through the door.

I have been to Cammarata's a handful of times, and each time I go there I am made to feel like a valued customer. When my wife and I go there, we never have to wonder where our server is and our server has always talked to us like we are just some friends who came to eat. A lot of Lockport restaurants offer this kind of feeling with the servers, but it feels genuine at Cammarata's to the point where you walk out of the restaurant feeling like you just had dinner with friends. I know that sounds corny, but it is true.

Along with the perfectly prepared food from their diverse lunch and dinner menus, you also get service that adds to the experience. One thing I noticed is that everyone who works at Cammarata's shares that feeling of making the customer feel welcomed. It truly is something you should experience for yourself.

My wife and I love going to Cammarata's, and we rarely leave any food on the plate. This is a restaurant that is much a part of Lockport as the locks themselves. I have also been to Cammarata's for a couple of banquets and it is always a pleasant experience to attend a function at Cammarata's. If you have not given this iconic restaurant a try yet, then it is time that you did. You should call ahead for reservations to make things easier on the staff, but don't be afraid to drop by and check out the bar too.
