Catching Up With the Lockport Express Week 11

The Lockport Express are on the road this weekend for a three-game series against the Syracuse Stampede at the Morrisville State Iceplex. The Express are in the midst of the longest losing streak in team history. Their 7-5 loss to the Skylands Kings on Saturday evening marked the 13th consecutive loss for the team.

Meanwhile, Syracuse has been steadily climbing the standings in the Northeast Division. While they are only 1 point in front of the fourth-place Roc City Royals and 11 points behind the Jersey Shore Wildcats, the Stampede are a steady team, silently accumulating points. Under the leadership of head coach, Mike Beavis, Syracuse is a well disciplined team, and will be a tough series to play. Last weekend, Syracuse split a 2-game series with the Maine Wild.

Express coach, Frank Vecchio states, “These are huge six points for us. They will help determine the seeding for the Blaine Showcase {December 16-18, 2016 in Blaine, Minnesota}”
