Lockport is coming off a heart breaker from Saturday evening, when the Express dropped a very close game against the Jersey Shore Wildcats, 1-0.That game saw nearly 100 shots, with Express goaltender, Sam Fitzpatrick making 65 saves. Tyler Allen scored the lone goal for the Wildcats.
The Southern Tier Xpress currently sit in fifth place in the East Division at 3-7-1-0 for 7 points on the season. Jacob St. Andres is the leading scorer on the team with 4 goals and 6 assists. They have played three less games than any other team in that division.
The Roc City Royals are well known in Lockport as the neighboring city rivals. Each game brings a contingent of fans, resulting in a very loud Cornerstone Arena. Over the past couple seasons, the Royals have steadily improved, and currently sit in fourth place in the Northeast Division, a single point behind Syracuse. Brandon Corey paces the team with 16 goals and 15 assists for 31 points.
