Catching Up With the Lockport Express - Week 8

The Binghamton Junior Senators rolled into town and reminded the Lockport fans that they are number one in the league for a reason. They left with two victories and a combined score of 13-5. However, the Express showed Binghamton that on any given game, they can skate with the best of them.

During Saturday’s contest, Lockport kept the game close, matching the visitors rush for rush throughout most of the game. Lockport led the game for part of the first and most of the second period, and remained tied with the Junior Senators for most of the rest of the game. Aside from a breakdown late in the second period and an odd-man rush late in the third, Lockport hovered at the edge of victory.

The schedule does not let up for the Express as their next games are a pair at home against the defending (NA3EHL) champion Jersey Shore Wildcats. The Wildcats have had a little more difficulty in racking up the wins this season as compared to previous seasons. They are still a dangerous team and can light up the scoreboard. As we’ve seen over the last two years, Jersey Shore has the ability to turn it on in a moment.

The pair of games against Jersey Shore will take place Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00pm at the Cornerstone Ice Arena. Tickets for the games are $5 per person.
