The
Niagara County Genealogical Society will be hosting the free program "The
Best of the Web: Ancestry, Find A Grave and American Ancestors" on
Wednesday, March 30th at 7pm at 215 Niagara St., Lockport.
Have
you ever been on a web site and just didn't know how to use it or get the most
out of it?
NCGS
Vice President Jeanette Sheliga will be teaching how to use three web sites
that can help you in your research. She will be teaching how to use: Ancestry.com,
Find A Grave.com and American Ancestors.com.
These
three web sites have great genealogy information on them and if you don't know
how to get the most out of a site, you may be missing out on finding your
ancestors. This class can help you learn the tips you need to make the most of
your internet research!
Sheliga is also the organizer of the North
Tonawanda Library Genealogy Club. She has been researching her family
tree for over ten years, is a frequent genealogy volunteer and maintains a blog of her personal genealogical
findings to share with her family.
The public is welcome.
