Niagara County Genealogical Society to Hold Workshop January 27th

Not sure how to get started tracing your family history? Maybe you’re a seasoned genealogist looking to shake up the nuts in your tree? If so, this is the session you won’t want to miss!

The Niagara County Genealogical Society will be hosting the program "Beginning Your Genealogical Journey: The Basics" at the Lockport Public Library on Saturday, January 27th at 1:00pm. During this workshop Jeanette Sheliga will be sharing the basics of researching your family tree along with key organizational strategies, documentation best practices as well as online and in-person resources for chronicling your family story. You will walk away with the skills to give you the confidence to say “I can do this!”

Jeanette is a board member for the Niagara County Genealogical Society and the organizer of the North Tonawanda Library Genealogy Club. She is a music teacher by day and spends much of her free time on her favorite hobby of genealogy. Jeanette has been a genealogy guest lecturer for many local societies and libraries over the past 7 years.
