Catching Up With the Lockport Express: Week 6

The Lockport Express head back out on the road after a quick, one game homestand and a six game losing streak. This weekend they are off to the Boston, Massachusetts area to take on the East Coast Minutemen. The Express are hoping to right the train and grab a couple wins before returning home to face the powerhouse tandem of the Binghamton Junior Senators and the Jersey Shore Wildcats.

Defenseman, Gibson Stuart found the scoring touch last weekend, netting the first two goals of the season against Pittsburgh. Newcomer Michael Sokol made his presence known immediately with a point in each of his first two games. He had an assist in Friday’s game, and a goal in Saturday’s matchup.

East Coast has struggled so far this year with only 1 win in 9 games this season, along with 2 overtime losses. They have 4 points on the season, sitting in 7th place in the Coastal Division. They are led by Nick Padgett and Alex Dipadua who have 6 and 5 points respectively. Nick Kent and Dom Montecalvo share net-minding duties.
